It’s time for an update! (even though there is not much to inform you about). Most of you know that we moved from Butler, Indiana to Kalamazoo, Michigan. Randy was offered a job in his hometown, he is now teaching at Kalamazoo Central High School. He really likes the school and the group of teachers he works with. He has been living with his parents since August. He drove back home every Friday night, just to have to drive back to Kalamazoo again Sunday night. While I would stay by myself during the week to take care of the house. We weren’t having too much fun doing this. So we decided that we would take the offer of living with Randy’s parents. So about three Saturdays ago, we made the move. Our wonderful friends were there early in the morning to help us load and the family was waiting for our arrival to help us unload our things. We are perfectly settled in now, most of our things are in storage and the rest is with us. It was bittersweet leaving our home, I love that house and it makes me sad that it is empty, without life. But we are happy and appreciative that we are together again with Randy, especially Kala. Our little family has been reunited!!

We are excited to start a new chapter and look forward to all the things that the future will bring. We love being close to family and friends. Now we have to convince our other friends to move back to the area (Hi Jon and Erin!!)
We haven’t had any offers on our house, and we really don’t know if we have had any showings lately because our realtor is not answering our calls or returning emails…….wonderfull!!! We’ll keep you updated.
Now,something else noteworthy; Randy participated in a “beard growing” contest with the other teachers. He grew his beard for about 23 days. He won the staff favorite and his prize was a Chuck Norris t-shirt!

Es hora de actualizarlos con lo que ha pasado últimamente,(nada emocionante o fuera de lo común). La mayoría de ustedes sabe que nos cambiamos de Butler, Indiana a Kalamazoo, Michigan. A Randy le ofrecieron un trabajo en la cuidad donde se crio y donde también vive su familia, ahora el está enseñando en Kalamazoo Central High School. A Randy le gusta esta nueva escuela y dice que hay un grupo súper bueno de profesores. Él ha estado viviendo desde Agosto en la casa de sus papas,  se quedaba con ellos durante la semana y manejaba a nuestra casa los viernes en la noche para tener q manejar de vuelta a Kalamazoo los domingos en la noche. Mientras que yo me quedaba toda la semana sola en Butler para cuidar la casa. Ninguno de los dos estaba contento con la situación así q decidimos aceptar la oferta de irnos a vivir con los papas de Randy hasta q se venda nuestra casa. Hace 3 sábados atrás hicimos el cambio oficial de casa, nuestros buenos amigos estaban tempranito en la mañana para ayudarnos a cargar el camión y la familia estaba esperando nuestra llegada para ayudarnos a bajar nuestras cosas. Estamos perfectamente acomodados ahora, la mayoría de nuestras cosas están en bodega y el resto las tenemos con nosotros. Fue un poco triste dejar la casa, Me encanta nuestra casita y me da pena que ahora esta vacía y sin vida. Pero definitivamente nos sentimos felices y apreciamos la posibilidad q tenemos de estar juntos otra vez. Nuestra pequeña familia ha sido reunida!! Estamos contentos de empezar un capitulo nuevo aquí en Kalamazoo y entusiasmados de lo que el futuro traerá.

Respecto a la casa, no hemos tenido ninguna oferta todavía. Y la verdad no sabemos si el corredor ha mostrado la casa a más personas porque no ha contestado nuestras llamadas o respondido los correos electrónicos……Esplendido! Los mantendremos informados.

Ahora en otra nota, Randy participo en una competencia: “quien puede crecer la barba mas larga” con los otros profesores de su escuela. Tenían que dejarse crecer la barba por 23 días, al final no gano la barba más larga o tupida. Pero los administrativos y secretarias lo votaron la barba favorita!! Se ganó una polera. (Ver fotos).
